Channel your inner Clark Griswold and help light up Brown County for the holidays!
From December 1 through December 25, local businesses and organizations are invited to decorate their storefronts and help turn Brown County into a festive small-town Christmas destination.
We love seeing Uptown and communities throughout Brown County come to life with lights, color, and creativity, and we hope this tradition continues to grow year after year.
Business Division
The Christmas Storefront Decorating Contest is open to all Brown County businesses and organizations.
Don’t have a storefront window? You can still join the fun! Organizations, clubs, booster groups, school groups, and other community organizations without a storefront may partner with a local business to create a display in their window.
The more groups involved, the merrier!
Prizes & People’s Choice
Judges will select a 1st Place winner based on creativity, overall appearance, and that extra holiday “wow” factor.
We’ll also crown a People’s Choice winner, giving the community a chance to vote for their favorite display.
Winners will receive bragging rights and the traveling Christmas Decorating Contest trophy to display for the year.
Rules & Guidelines
- There is no cost to enter.
- Displays must be completed by December 1 and remain up through Christmas Day, December 25.
- Displays must be visible from the street.
- Storefronts should be illuminated each evening throughout the contest.
- Christmas lights are required, but there is no official decorating theme.
- Displays must be family-friendly.
- Entries will be judged on creativity, overall appearance, and wow factor.
- Additional judging, voting, and winner announcement details will be shared as the event approaches.
